On August 5, 2006 the Mapco located at 890 Pendleton was robbed by a male white armed with a box cutter. The robber took cash from the register and fled when confronted by two customers who attempted to stop him. The robber fled on foot leaving behind his blue Chevy Berretta which was parked at the pumps. The vehicle was registered to Scott Letcher whose photo was included in a photo spread shown to the clerk who identified him as the robber.
